First ever (junior) prom and you wake up to see a huge pimple protruding on your chin. Exciting right?
Well, that is the exact day when I started shelling huge bucks on store-bought creams and masks, to get rid of my acne prone skin. But despite trying every cream and mask available on the face of this earth, my acne had started to get worse.
That’s probably because of the harsh chemicals used to make all face creams. I wish I had realized the fact earlier, but by the time I was graduating high school, it was already too late.
One day, in a desperate effort to get my baby soft skin back, I stumbled upon an article – Food for skin. That was the day, when I came across the term DIY Face Masks, and boy did I get hooked!!

So say b-bye, to all those expensive creams and treatments, because you will never need them again after trying out the following easy homemade face masks, which are made using the most natural and organic of ingredients.

10 Homemade DIY Face Masks that Works for Every Skin
1. Homemade DIY Face Mask for Acne
Beginning with of my fav, diy mask, the Acne-Buster Clay Mask.
This is a two ingredient mask, and gives almost instant results. Unlike other beauty regimes, you don’t have to use it for a couple weeks to get desired results.
You will need:
- Bentonite Clay
- Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix the two together with a wooden or plastic spoon. Because Bentonite absorbs metal, so a metal utensil will change the masks properties. The mask will have an almost frothy consistency.
Apply it to your face and let sit for about 10 minutes. Wash the clay off with water and pat dry your skin.
The clay, works to absorbs all impurities from the skin, while the apple cider vinegar acts as an antiseptic and dries out all blemishes and also helps attain a balanced pH value.
2. DIY Face Mask for Blackheads
This DIY Blackhead Cleanser Mask, is a life saver. Way better than those commercial pore strips and so easy to make. I like to call it a DIY facial mask, because it makes skin super soft and dirt free just as after we get a *coughs* super expensive facial done.
All you need is:
- 1 tbsp. of Milk
- 1 tbsp. of Gelatin
Both of which are readily available in most, if not all, kitchens.
Mix the two up in a microwave safe bowl and zap it in the microwave for 10 seconds.
Apply the gooey mixture on to your face and let dry. Peel off, once it has dried and Ta-Da, super soft, blackhead free skin is what you get.
Disclaimer: It might get a little stinky once you microwave the two things together. But who said, beauty comes, smelling good?
